  • Faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities at any university location must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster shot if eligible. 

  • Any unvaccinated student, staff, or faculty member with an approved exemption must be tested weekly for COVID-19.

  • Free testing is available to all faculty, staff, and students.

  • Free vaccines are available to all students eligible to use the Student Health Center.

Vaccination Requirement

As of January 23, all students, staff, and faculty are required to be up to date with their attestation status. This means attesting that you are fully vaccinated (including a booster if eligible) or have submitted for the appropriate exemption. Learn how to submit your booster vaccination status here.  

Should an individual receive an exemption (even after the first two initial shots) they will be subject to weekly testing. Those who have been approved for a religious or medical exemption last semester do not need to reapply. Students staying in on-campus residences must test negative prior to coming back onto campus.

Beginning January 23, any student, staff, or faculty member who is eligible must have received a COVID-19 booster to be considered fully vaccinated. Individuals are highly encouraged to seek their booster shots prior to coming back to campus as shots are limited in the region. Humboldt will be hosting booster clinics over the next two weeks for students and employees. Students and employees are strongly encouraged not to wait to return to Humboldt for Spring Semester before receiving the vaccination, if possible. People are eligible for a booster five months after they received the second dose of the original vaccination (2 months after the Johnson & Johnson vaccination).


Booster Clinics

Student Health & Wellbeing Services is offering COVID-19 booster shots (with the Pfizer vaccine) to students, staff, and faculty that are 18 years of age or older. The Jan. 13 booster is full, but additional clinics will be held:  

Appointments are available on a first come first serve basis.  

You are eligible for a booster if it has been two months since a Johnson & Johnson vaccine or five months since the second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine. 

Please follow all safety guidelines onsite and bring your covid vaccination card to verify your eligibility and so that your booster can be recorded.


Returning to Work/Density Tracking

In an effort to stay current with campus density tracking and to keep everyone apprised of any changes to regulations and campus guidelines for the prevention of COVID-19, employees will be required to submit the “campus access form and certification of understanding” questionnaire: It is important that everyone working on campus take the time to complete the questionnaire by January 18. Please ensure that it is completed prior to your return to campus.
