Reminder: Face Coverings and Social Distancing for Commencement

May 13, 2021 - 6:37pm

In light of the CDC’s new face covering guidelines for fully vaccinated people, the campus community is reminded that anyone who is attending or working Commencement on Friday, May 14 and Saturday, May 15 must follow health and safety guidelines established by California State OSHA and Humboldt County Public Health.

Whether or not you are fully vaccinated, wearing face coverings and maintaining a 6-foot distance from others will be required at all times, indoors and outdoors. In addition, students, staff, faculty, and guests must perform a wellness self-check just prior to coming to campus. If you feel ill, have symptoms of COVID-19, or have potentially been exposed to someone with confirmed or suspected COVID-19, you should not attend the Commencement event.

Anyone traveling from outside California is expected to quarantine for at least 10 days OR provide proof of being fully vaccinated.
