Registration Link for COVID-19 Testing on Campus

October 15, 2021 - 1:43pm

Employees will be emailed a link today to register for COVID-19 testing on campus with a new testing vendor, Fulgent. The link will expire in 72 hours.  Students should have already received a registration link. Anyone who has not registered can do so  on-site at the Great Hall.

Everyone is still encouraged to register, even if you don’t need to be tested weekly. Providing important information in advance eliminates the extra step of having to register on-site and allows you to get tested immediately, if necessary.

Regular testing is highly encouraged, regardless of your vaccination/exemption status to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Please remember that all students, staff, and faculty who were granted an exemption from receiving the vaccine must submit to testing once a week. There is no limit to the number of tests an employee or student can receive.

HOURS & LOCATION

  • Students and employees may walk in for testing during open hours at the Great Hall, 8 a.m.-5 p.m on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday., and 8 a.m. - 7 p.m on Thursday.

HEALTH & SAFETY REMINDERS

  • Bring a form of ID (e.g., employee ID, student ID, or a state-issued driver’s license/ID) at the time of testing.

  • Wear a mask at all times (except when advised by the test collector to remove your mask) and try to stay 6 feet apart from others while waiting for your test.

IF YOU HAVE SYMPTOMS

  • Symptomatic students should contact Student Health & Wellbeing Services  (SHWS) at (707) 826-3146 as soon as possible for consultation and to arrange for testing, and should also quarantine until test results come in. If the test is positive for COVID-19, SHWS will call you with further instructions on self-isolation.

  • Symptomatic employees should notify their supervisor AND David Hickcox (David.Hickcox@humboldt.edu) in Human Resources and should quarantine until test results come in. Employees who test positive for COVID-19 must self-isolate and follow campus COVID-19 protocols.
