Humboldt Campus Events Restrictions Lifted

October 5, 2021 - 5:53pm

As of October 4, Cal Poly Humboldt’s restrictions on events of 20 or more people have been lifted.

Moving forward, if you have an event that requires reserving an on-campus space, contact Conference & Event Services at least 10 business days prior to the event for review and approval. For details, please read the event submission timeline to determine how much advance notice is needed as the review process can take up to six weeks in some cases.

Due to COVID-19 protocols, some events may require review by Risk Management & Safety Services and other campus departments.

The campus community is encouraged to include health and safety reminders when promoting campus events on various channels (ex: Events Calendar, department websites, and social media), namely, wearing a mask anytime you are indoors (except when actively eating or drinking), regardless of vaccination status, and outdoors anytime a 6-foot distance from others cannot be maintained.

Please note there may be masking and distancing exceptions for certain events, such as performances, and sports practices and competitions.

Events policies and safety guidelines are subject to change, depending on state and local public health guidance. For more information, check the CES frequently asked questions page.
