Some members of the Cal Poly Humboldt community have been forwarded an email from Humboldt County Public Health that invites individuals to schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine at College of the Redwoods.

Please be aware that the message was intended for select faculty and staff of CR only. Unless the email was sent directly to you, the County is asking the Humboldt community to ignore the email to reduce confusion and ensure the vaccine is distributed to various members of the local community as scheduled.

Cal Poly Humboldt student-athletes are cautiously returning to training, practice, and exhibition games this spring.

Feb 24 2021 - 4:14pm

Cal Poly Humboldt student-athletes are cautiously returning to training, practice, and exhibition games this spring.

Under strict health and safety guidelines from the NCAA, Humboldt County Public Health, and the University, this is the first opportunity since the COVID-19 pandemic began for student athletes to return to a bit of normalcy. The careful, deliberate approach to returning can have implications for the future of campus functions like field trips, in-person courses, events, and more.

Based on CDC recommendations, Cal Poly Humboldt has updated the guidelines for face coverings to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Neck gaiters, which are often made of thin material, must have at least two layers. Bandanas are not approved as face coverings because they have been shown to be ineffective.
