Some members of the Cal Poly Humboldt community have been forwarded an email from Humboldt County Public Health that invites individuals to schedule an appointment for the COVID-19 vaccine at College of the Redwoods.

Please be aware that the message was intended for select faculty and staff of CR only. Unless the email was sent directly to you, the County is asking the Humboldt community to ignore the email to reduce confusion and ensure the vaccine is distributed to various members of the local community as scheduled.

Cal Poly Humboldt student-athletes are cautiously returning to training, practice, and exhibition games this spring.

Feb 24 2021 - 4:14pm

Cal Poly Humboldt student-athletes are cautiously returning to training, practice, and exhibition games this spring.

Under strict health and safety guidelines from the NCAA, Humboldt County Public Health, and the University, this is the first opportunity since the COVID-19 pandemic began for student athletes to return to a bit of normalcy. The careful, deliberate approach to returning can have implications for the future of campus functions like field trips, in-person courses, events, and more.

Planning for Fall 2021 is underway, which will include assessing the options for providing a modest increase in face-to-face course offerings, as well as the capacity to safely house a limited number of students, expand face-face student activities if able, and maintain day-to-day operations.

The planning efforts are multifaceted, and include broad consultation across campus as well as consultation with Humboldt County Department of Public Health.
