Study Spaces

One on-campus study space is open to all HSU students. Located on the 3rd floor of the Jolly Giant Commons across from the Housing Desk, the Klamath River room is set up with 10 work stations for individual students. 

  • Tuesday, Feb. 2 to Thursday, Feb. 18: drop-in hours are 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday, and weekends 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Based on CDC recommendations, Humboldt State University has updated the guidelines for face coverings to reduce the spread of COVID-19. Neck gaiters, which are often made of thin material, must have at least two layers. Bandanas are not approved as face coverings because they have been shown to be ineffective.

Humboldt County is currently in the purple pandemic tier. Community risk is considered widespread at this level and restrictions on travel and other activities are in place. Read about County restrictions here.

Humboldt State University and the CSU encourage you to consider using CA Notify, a free smartphone app designed to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19. The app is a private, anonymous, and secure tool that does not collect location data from any device and never shares user identities.

Humboldt County Public Health (HCPH) has announced that the county has moved into the purple pandemic tier. Community risk level is considered widespread at this level and new restrictions will be in place. Read about new County restrictions here.
