Student Health and Wellbeing Services is partnering with Safeway Pharmacy to offer COVID-19 booster shots (with the Pfizer vaccine) to students, staff, and faculty that are 18 years of age or older. The booster clinic will be held Friday, Jan. 21, 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. in Nelson Hall East 106. 

You are eligible for a booster if it has been 2 months since a Johnson & Johnson vaccine or 5 months since the second Pfizer or Moderna vaccine.

Campus eateries will provide grab-and-go food until further notice. No eating or drinking will be permitted in indoor dining spaces. This reduces potential spread of the COVID-19 virus from unmasking related to eating and drinking indoors.

On-campus residents may eat in their rooms. Employees who have a private office may eat in their office with the door closed. Those who do not have a private office can use break rooms, as long as 6 feet social distance can be maintained.

The U.S. Government is offering free at-home COVID-19 tests for residential households.

- Complete online attestation about vaccination status

- By Jan. 23, "fully vaccinated" means initial shots and booster

- Conduct daily wellness self check

There are no changes to spring instruction and most courses will be in-person at the start of classes on Tuesday, Jan. 18.

The University and Humboldt County Public Health are working together to help isolate individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 and conduct contact tracing if necessary. 

 

SYMPTOMATIC STUDENTS, STAFF, and FACULTY SHOULD BE TESTED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

Should someone be a direct contact of a known positive, they may be asked to not come to campus under certain conditions and to quarantine or isolate themselves in their home or campus residence for 5 days.

  • Faculty, staff, and students who are accessing campus facilities at any university location must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including a booster shot if eligible. 

  • Any unvaccinated student, staff, or faculty member with an approved exemption must be tested weekly for COVID-19.
