Humboldt State University has achieved high rates of vaccinations and attestations for exemptions, reflecting the campus community’s commitment to health and safety. 

  • Students: 98% have submitted and completed their attestation forms. Of all enrolled students, 92% are fully vaccinated. Of all students enrolled in face-to-face classes, 91% are fully vaccinated.

  • Employees: 92% have submitted and completed their attestation forms. Of all employees, 87% are fully vaccinated.

Employees: A Pfizer Covid-19 vaccine clinic for staff and faculty is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 22, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. located in the Nelson Hall East 102. Bring your insurance card for the injection fee. No one will be turned away if they don’t have insurance.

Some HSU students were emailed a registration link for COVID-19 testing on campus this morning. 

The link, which was sent by the new testing vendor, Fulgent, earlier than the University had anticipated, will expire within 72 hours. All other students will be emailed a registration link soon. 

Any student who needs or wants to get COVID-19 testing on campus should register using that link, adding insurance details and other information. No one will be turned away if they don’t have insurance.

All students, faculty, and staff must complete their vaccination self-certification no later than the end of day today, September 10. Regardless of whether you will be accessing campus facilities or not, you must submit vaccination information or attest that you’ve qualified for an exemption.

This is a reminder to all students, staff, and faculty that under a mandate from The CSU Chancellor, all students, staff, and faculty must be either fully vaccinated or qualify for a medical or religious exemption. HSU has set the deadline of September 10.

Below is a brief summary of current options that are available to employees (including student employees) who need to take leave for COVID-19 related reasons. Please note that faculty are now eligible for 128 hours under the Expanded COVID-19 Related Leave Program.

1.  CSU’s Expanded COVID-19 Related Leave Program (ECRL) 

  • 128 hours for all employees; prorated based on timebase (except Teamsters) 

  • 256 hours for Teamsters

The CSU Chancellor put forth a mandate requiring all students, staff, and faculty to be either fully vaccinated or qualify for a medical or religious exemption. HSU has set the deadline of September 10.
